Thank you for joining us for the Massachusetts Biz/Bio: Economic Prosperity through Scientific Discovery conference on April 30. More than 100 guests attended and participated in this half-day forum. We would like to extend special thanks to our local and national partners who helped make the event a success.
The conference brought together representatives from the academic, business, research, public policy and government sectors to discuss the future of Massachusetts’ bioscience industry. Keynote speaker John C. Lechleiter, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, Eli Lilly and Company and our panel of government, industry and policy leaders spoke about the challenges and opportunities facing Massachusetts.
All the speakers agreed that the Bay State is among the world leaders in the bioscience industry. However, equally important, the conference helped draw attention to the growing need for better public/private partnerships and collaborations to build the state’s bioscience industry.
